When it comes to performance, the Polestar 3 doesn’t disappoint. Hidden beneath its exterior is an impressive electric powerhouse. Built on top of Volvo`s EX90 platform (SPA2), this model showcases three driving modes, thanks to its modified suspension setup and increased power output.
The Long Range and Performance versions of the car come with a 111-kWh battery, which allows for an impressive range of up to 379 miles on a single charge.
In terms of performance, the Long Range model produces 483bhp and can go from 0 to 62mph in five seconds. For those seeking a thrill, the Performance model boosts the power to 510bhp. Achieves the same acceleration in a swift 4.7 seconds. Both models provide access to charging, enabling owners to charge up to 80% capacity in half an hour using compatible public charging stations.
Test Drive – Impressions
CarBuyer Automagazine recently had the opportunity to test drive prototypes of both the Long Range and Performance versions. The driving experience was characterized by speed and exceptional handling, the Polestar 3 demonstrating control over its body and responsive steering while effortlessly navigating hard road surfaces. With its four-wheel drive system and designed Pirelli tires it proved itself as a top competitor on the market.
In addition to its performance capabilities, praise was also given to the high-quality materials used in the interior as its spacious cabin design. Although different from controls, with its touchscreen interface many appreciated the functionality of the system.
