Nissan 370Z has been a great value-for-money car for enthusiasts to enjoy. The 400Z’s predecessor 370Z has had its competition against the Toyota Supra and Toyota 86, both of which have got their models revived recently. It is now time for Nissan to present the world with its next-gen Z car, the 400Z.
Design
Nissan has opted for a complete change in its design as compared to the predecessor. It has a decent front end and an aggressive roof slope meeting with an interesting-looking rear-ending.
Pricing and Marketing
Nissan had initially presented a glimpse of the 400Z in their marketing video and although they have had been quite secretive about its details. Most of the car’s details have been out in the market. As looking towards the market competition and scenario, it is expected that the 400Z trims will be ranging from 40 to $50,000 USD.
To justify this uplift in pricing as compared to the last model, Nissan will be providing an uplift to many segments all around.
Engine and Transmission
The new 400Z is expected to lend its engine from the Infinity Q60. It will be a 3.0-Liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 300 horsepower. It is expected to be coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Though it will be offered in a 7-speed automatic layout as well. It is also expected that the 400Z Nismo will be carrying over the 400hp engine from the Q60 Red Sport 400 to give it the additional bling.
Interior and Options
The increased price will also be justified with the better interior layout, material, and design. It is expected to have a big 8-inch infotainment screen supporting Android Auto and Apple car play. The meter will be having a fully digital gauge display and 3 extra dials on the dash for your boost pressure readings and etc. It is expected to come with dual-zone climate control and much better leatherwork and interior quality and an atypical but simplistic design.
Active and Passive Safety Features
Although sports cars usually do not get tested by the safety authorities, still it is expected to come with all the basic active safety features along with the emergency braking with pedestrian detection being standard across all trims. Although lane departure assist, and adaptive cruise control are still expected to be optional add-ins.
Warranty and Maintenance
Nissan offers a very basic warranty package that includes a limited warranty for 3 years or 36000 miles along with a power train warranty for 5 years or 60000 miles. Nissan also does not call its buyers up for any complimentary scheduled maintenance after purchase.
