Car Registration Renewal
You have to renew your vehicle registration every year. Once a vehicle registration is expired, there is a 30-day grace period, and it is a must to complete the vehicle registration process within those thirty days. If someone drives a vehicle with an expired registration, there are 500 AED expired registration fines, 7 days of vehicle confiscation, and four black points. Never Cross a Red Light
Crossing a red signal is a major traffic violation in the UAE that comes with a 1000 AED traffic fine with 12 black points and one-month vehicle confiscation. If you don’t want to confiscate your vehicle, then you have to pay an extra 3000 AED non-confiscation fee.
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
Driving under the influence of alcohol is a criminal offense in UAE and is Punishable by 20,000 AED to 30,000 AED fines along with three months of jail time. Their driver’s license will also be suspended and the vehicle will also be confiscated for sixty days.
Similarly, there is no concept of street racing in UAE as it is a major offense and can result in vehicle confiscation for sixty days with 23 black points.
