The Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini has revealed the Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder on May 7. The company has a list of successful cars that have won the hearts of many around the world. Lamborghini’s new model would expectedly be no different.

The new model is a convertible. The Huracan Evo RWD Spyder has a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 that produces an impressive 610 hp and 560 Nm of torque that helps the car accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. The top speed is 200 miles per hour.

The Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder is a special version of the Huracan Evo which has AWD functionality. The Huracan RWD is lighter by around 70 lbs. However, because it’s a convertible version of the Huracan Evo then the weight goes up slightly. Convertible cars have a motor inside that helps the top to open and close. This extra weight will affect the car’s acceleration as well as the curb weight. Lamborghini might tackle this by introducing more carbon fiber elements. The Huracan Evo RWD Spyder could also cost a bit more than the ordinary version.

The production of the Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder will start at the Sant’Agata Bolognese plant shortly. The plant has been closed down since March when the coronavirus pandemic hit the country hard. The Italian government had closed all factories and plants, as a result. Now that the effects of the disease have dissipated, the plants are ready to open yet again.

The Italian company also played its part in helping the government to fight the virus by shifting production of some departments to make visors, masks, and protective kits for the medical staff in Italy.

It remains to be seen if the production plant will start up in full swing or the production numbers will increase gradually. Lamborghini employs specialist workers who along with machines manufacture a Lamborghini vehicle. The company cannot do without its workforce because most of the people working there have done so for ages and their experience is more valuable to the Italian marque than selling their supercars.
