Chicago-Listed 2025 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 Costs Almost Exactly What a Fresh One Does

A dealer in Chicago is selling a 2025 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 at an offer price nearly identical to new that it is hardly worth ordering. The price assigned to the listing is 179,995 and this instantly renders the car more difficult to perceive as an average used car deal.

On the face of it, a person with no details may assume that it is an immensely costly Mercedes-Benz GLS. This perception is removed when the surface cues start to take effect; the grille treatment, the design of the wheels, the chrome covering the body, the markings on the side pillars near the rear, and the script on the tailgate all lead in the same direction, this is the Maybach one.

That also means it belongs in the tier where Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan usually enter the conversation, not in the regular GLS bracket. Even if the advertisement positions Mercedes-Benz at the front, the actual specification is elsewhere.

The paint is identified as Cote d’Azur Light Blue Metallic, a finish taken from the Manufaktur catalogue. Lower sections of the body are darker, which changes the balance slightly because the upper portions still carry the expected bright trim pieces. At certain angles, the SUV looks restrained; then the chrome catches the light again, and that impression disappears. Privacy glass is fitted as well.

Inside, the atmosphere shifts sharply. Carmine Red leather dominates nearly everything visible: seats, steering wheel, lower dashboard areas, center tunnel, and door panels. Black detailing appears only as a thin contrast line in certain places. There is wood trim, polished metal, and a rear entertainment setup for passengers seated in the rear. The rear section does not use a conventional bench either, but two separate captain’s chairs.

Power comes from the familiar 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 combined with mild-hybrid support. Output is listed at 550 bhp (410 kW/558 ps), available between 6,000 and 6,500 rpm. Torque reaches 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) and arrives from 2,500 to 4,500 rpm. Despite the weight and luxury focus, the acceleration figure remains notable: 4.6 seconds from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph).

Mileage is minimal, with the seller stating just 900 miles (1,450 km) and a clean title. It is presented as a 2025 model-year vehicle already located in the United States.

The unusual part is not the specification, but how little the distance is between this asking figure and factory pricing. A 2026 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 carries an MSRP of $180,000, leaving this example almost on par with a new one. Then again, the comparison changes if you look downward in the range: a standard GLS starts at $90,250, nearly half that amount.
