Orders for the 2026 Dodge Durango R/T 392 Launch Edition are already open, and this version arrives with a price of $57,595 across all 50 states.
It does not sit at the bottom of the range, obviously, because Dodge still starts the Durango family with the V6-powered GT at $38,995, where output stands at 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.
It would be a premiere for the Durango R/T to receive HEMI`s famous 6.4-liter under the hood, the model coming with 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. This means that the muscle car gained an impressive 115 horsepower and 80 lb-ft of torque more than in its previous form.
The sprint from 0 to 60 mph is also improved, dropping to 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 160 mph, or 257 km/h. There is also an NHRA-certified quarter-mile run of 12.9 seconds.
There is more happening underneath than just engine output. To achieve that power and torque, the Durango R/T has been fitted with a lot of goodies.
We are dealing here with a custom suspension system, six-piston front brakes at the front and four-piston hardware at the rear. The Active all-wheel-drive system adjusts torque between the axles depending on conditions, while drivers still receive manual control via steering-wheel paddle shifters or the M-gate shifter, which is placed on the center console.
Inside, Dodge leans heavily into comfort. Nappa leather, suede surfaces, carbon fiber accents, SRT seat bolsters, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, and second-row captain’s chairs all appear here. An 18-speaker Harman Kardon system is available, and if that is not enough noise, the high-performance exhaust certainly fills the gap. Eclipse Black exhaust tips can also be specified.
At the exterior, Dodge gave this Launch Edition several cues that separate it from the rest. Body-color fender flares subtly reshape the profile, a red “392” badge is positioned on the fenders, and a rear spoiler completes the rear section.
Besides the new Green Machine, there are also other exterior colors to join the club, like Diamond Black, B5 Blue, Red Oxide, Vapor Gray, Destroyer Gray, White Knuckle, and Triple Nickel; stripe finishes refer to Carbon Fiber, Bright Blue, Low Gloss Gunmetal, Flame Red, or Sterling Silver.
The wheels complement the whole exterior setup with a set of 20-inch Satin Carbon alloys wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Zero Run-Flat 295 rubbers.
Dodge sold 81,168 Durangos last year, more than triple the rest of its models combined, even though the SUV continues on an aging platform. At the far opposite end of the lineup, the 710-horsepower SRT Hellcat starts at $79,995, while the SRT Hellcat Jailbreak begins at $81,585 and offers more than 13 million customization options. Add enough boxes there, and the total goes beyond $90,000 rather quickly.
