Teaser Video: 2024 Abarth 600e ‘Scorpionissima’ Launch Edition Revealed

2024 Abarth 600e ‘Scorpionissima’ Launch Edition

The 2024 Abarth 600e is compact electric vehicle with enhanced performance and stylish design.
The Abarth 600e is a new all electric city car which would be out in 2024, based on the Fiat 500 car. Abarth has taken cute and likable Fiat 500 and made the potent hot hatchback with the 600e while still maintaining the recognizable design that made the 500 so successful.

In the teaser video, viewers can glean a few facts about the special edition Abarth 600e model, known as the ‘Scorpionissima’. It suggests sportier cues to the exterior design and performance enhancements that matter for driving satisfaction in a package that is both environmentally friendly and emissions free.

Exterior Styling

As you will recall, the teaser video employs the technique of a brief walkaround of the Abarth 600e Scorpionissima, highlighting the exterior side only. First of all, it is possible to observe the round headlamps of 500 which are redesigned for the model to look sharper and more aggressive emphasizing on the scorpion logo.

In terms of its contouring, it looks wider and has more flared wheel arches than the standard 500e. Big alloy wheels fit the wheel arches and accompany the hot hatch theme. The screencast showcases the scorpion badges located on the front fenders and the e-graphics on the lower sections of the doors.

All in all, the Abarth 600e Scorpionissima does not scream Abarth as the other cars do but it does wear its modifications proudly. These styling updates are in harmony with the cute and retro-modern basic design of the 500e without making it overly flashy. These can be appreciated by fans since they serve to distinguish the car as the high-performance variant.

Interior Upgrades

Interior does not remain untouched by the special edition theme in Abarth 600e Scorpionissima. The teaser video also reveals some aspects of the interior, including the flat-bottom steering wheel, bolstered sports seats, as well as contrast stitching and accents.

As it is often the case with cars from Abarth, everything is to the extreme. The flat-bottomed wheel is large and chunky and would look ideal for some high-speed action on the track. The wheel also has a small digital screen in the middle that shows the power level and the battery information among others. There are, however, distinctly red accents, which are present on mainly the surfaces on the inside of the car as it is black.

As a whole, the cabin seems to be of a higher caliber and tailored towards the driver than the majority of the 500e line. The sports seats will ensure that the occupants remain as fixed as they would want as they enthusiastically throw the car around the corners. Elements such as the scorpion head stenciled on the car and badging are a good reminder that the car is a special edition.

Performance Specs

For now, the teaser only provides vague information about most of the major performance characteristics. However, certain elements are worth mentioning which point to the improvements that the 600e Scorpionissima was supposedly going to offer.

First, the “170” emblem indicates that the car is now has an equivalent of 170 PS horsepower. It still looks more advanced than the standard 118 PS 500e. Specifically, the torque and the acceleration data are not revealed.

Also, the video clarifies that there are selectable driving modes on the new Abarth 600e. This chunky mode selector switches between: Turismo, Scorpion Street and Scorpion Track through the buttons. Those names imply specific handling modes for leisurely motoring or spirited driving or at least an option of the two.

Lastly, the video provides the evidence of the KONI FSD shock absorbers being installed. The advanced adaptive dampers should enable a good deal of control over the firmness of the ride and steer input stiffness. All together the upgrades that are promised should be very fun and the full details should be fun as well when they are revealed.

Launch Edition Exclusivity

As a unique version of the all new 600e model series, it boasts distinctive accents all of its own. Even the badging and the brand markings mirror it, right from the interior embroidered elements to each and every scorpion.

Overall, the exterior is stylish with the two-tone 17-inch wheels painted with black, red and grey. Other exterior styling upgrades such as the rear diffuser type spoiler adds to the performance theme. Red stitching and trim features are also present on the inside and offer a more dramatic interior appearance compared with other models.

More specifically, the video show that Abarth 600e Scorpionissima launch edition will be limited to 1949 units. This exclusivity of the limited run is appropriate for the company brand but will undoubtedly generate much attention among the target market of collectors and fans. Potential customers require the need to be agile once the orders open to be among the lucky few to own one of these unique first run limited editions.

More Details Coming Soon

Just like what one is left yearning for more during a teaser ad, Abarth has assured that more details are still forthcoming. Abarth uses the term “sneak peek” to refer to it, although it is closer to a sneak peek of the actual car instead of the concept. For now, there is no release of most of the specifications concerning the powertrain, battery technologies, and enhanced equipment to the public.

The video also has a date pointing to the first, March 3, 2023. It may correlate with the time they present the finished product in the production car. That is where you should prepare for an extensive number of details concerning performance, range, charging, price and available configurations.

However, there are sufficient evidences to suggest interesting pointers that should trigger the interest of enthusiasts. The design translated to the new 500e means the car is great looking, the reference to the new 500e as the exclusive launch edition creates massive expectation, and the possibility of Abarth giving the car a sporty fine-tune increases its appeal. If there’s anything I want to see in a lit Italian hot hatch full of passion and flair, it can only be the 2024 Abarth 600e Scorpionissima.
